Primary Voter Information

Need to register to vote or check your voter registration status? You can do so here.

*** Voter Registration Deadline for the Primary Election is May 13, 2025. ***

 
There are three (3) ways to vote in the Primary Election on June 3th:
  1. Vote In Person - Go to your district's Polling Location (listed below) on Primary Election Day - June 3, 2025. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  2. Vote By Mail - If you are registered to Vote By Mail, you will receive a ballot in the mail and can cast your vote by mailing your ballot using USPS, depositing it at a secure ballot drop box (shown below), or delivering it in person at one of the County Clerk Offices in Elizabeth and Westfield.
  3. Early Voting - You can vote in person at an early voting location  (shown below) from May 30, 2025 - June 1, 2025 (the in-person early voting period). Hours will be Friday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Click here for the full list of early voting sites in Union County.

Important Dates:

May

TUESDAY, MAY 13 – Last day to register to vote for the June Primary Election. Registration forms must be postmarked or received by Municipal Clerks this date

TUESDAY, MAY 27 – Last day to apply by mail for a Mail-In Ballot for the Primary Election

FRIDAY, MAY 30 – Early Voting begins for the Primary Election and ends on Sunday, June 2

SATURDAY, MAY 31 – Special opening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. of the County Clerk Offices in Elizabeth and Westfield to apply for a Mail-In Ballot for the Primary Election

SUNDAY,  JUNE 1 – Early Voting ends for the Primary Election

MONDAY, JUNE 2 – Last day to apply in person for a Mail-In Ballot before 3 p.m. in the County Clerk Offices in Elizabeth and Westfield

TUESDAY, JUNE 3 – Primary Election Day:  Polls are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
